“Worth Every Penny” Book Review

April 30, 2012

A few weeks ago I ordered “Worth Every Penny” by Sarah Petty and Erin Verbeck. My plan was to sit down that day and read the entire book and review it. I was psyched because it is a book that fills an empty space in business books. That said, the day it arrived I had a fever of 103. Then the fun really set in. I had a fever of 102-103 for 10, yes, 10 days. It was pretty fun.

Well, gladly that is over, I’m feeling 100% again and I got to reading their book.

What is it?

“Worth Every Penny” is a book for boutique businesses–small businesses that can’t compete on lower prices and the high volume that others do. For businesses that want to be low volume and charge what they are worth and be able to give their clients the attention they deserve, that’s what a boutique business is all about.

Why it’s needed?

In this day and age of Groupon and a deal around every corner, business owners need to realize that there is an alternative. There is a successful business model for people who want to run a high-end boutique business.

What it covers.

1. Branding

2. Products and Services

3. The Customer Experience

4. Price

5. Marketing and Selling
