We all use an incredible amount of hard drive space, not to mention upload bandwidth. What if there was a way to cut your JPEG sizes way down, without losing any quality?
The Science of JPEG Mini
The Fundy Software team ran across JPEG Mini at WPPI. They have some incredible print comparisons showing no visual difference of JPEGs that are up to 1/6 the size. Visit the website and download their sample images yourself. I can’t tell the difference.

Lightroom Plugin AND Batch a Hard Drive
They have two versions of the software, but I’ll just be talking about the PRO version. It’s $149, but does multi-threaded processing and has a Lightroom Export plugin. You can just drop a folder onto the program and it will batch all images in that folder. You can drop multiple folders all at the same time and batch out an entire drive.
I love the Lightroom Plugin. When I’m done processing my RAW files, I can just export with reduced-size JPEGs.
