Creating custom covers for albums, e.g., metal covers, photo wraps, plexi covers, etc., has always been a pain in Album Design software. The reason being is that there are no standards. Album companies can do anything on the planet, and often do.
What we’ve done at Fundy Software to combat this, is add the ability to use a cover template created by your album company right in the software. If your album company supplies PSDs, just do a quick save as JPEG. Custom covers accept both JPEGs and PNGs.
The coolest bonus is that it gives you a preview of the template that you can turn off and on while designing.
